FASHUP is OGIFT's signature free introductory programme — a 10-day taster experience designed for anyone curious about fashion design but not yet ready to commit to a full course. Across ten hands-on sessions at the OGIFT campus in Vinayakanagar, Bengaluru, students explore the fundamentals of fashion education, get introduced to industry opportunities, and actually create their first garment piece: a fully stitched basic bodice block. Every FASHUP student receives a certificate at the end of the programme, entirely free of charge.
The programme moves quickly through the entire design-to-stitch process. In the first few days, students discover how fashion designers build collections, what different course pathways look like, and how the fashion industry is structured in India. From Day 4 onwards, sessions become practical: students learn to take body measurements, draft a basic bodice block pattern, and then stitch and finish the block themselves. Classes are available in English, Hindi, and Kannada.
FASHUP is ideal for school and college students exploring career options in fashion, homemakers who want to experience structured fashion education before enrolling in a longer programme, working professionals considering a career change into fashion design, and parents who want their child to try fashion education before committing to a diploma.
